ELLM: Relationships and Working with Others

Every school leader knows that relationships can make or break a culture, yet few of us are ever taught how to build them with intention. Grounded in the Nova Scotia Educational Leadership Standards, this interactive online module explores how relationships shape school culture and the experiences of staff, students, and families.

Through a Relational Leadership Practicum, participants will deepen their understanding of impact versus intent, building trust, and listening to understand, while navigating challenging conversations and applying practical tools to real situations from their own leadership practice.

Across the 10 weeks (6 synchronous and 4 asynchronous), participants will bring their learning together in a practical Relational Leadership Playbook, complete with meaningful next steps for the road ahead. The result: building on existing tools to create a culture where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.

Relationship and Working with Others - Virtual Classes: 6:30pm-8:45pm, Sept. 29, Oct. 6, Oct 20, Nov 3, Nov. 17 and Dec. 6, 2026.             

Classes will have a maximum of 22 participants.
