Educational Leadership Learning Modules(ELLMs)
The ELLMs are short, focused professional learning experiences designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and practices of educational leaders. Grounded in the Nova Scotia Educational Leadership Standards (ELS) and aligned with current provincial priorities, each module explores a high-impact area of leadership through evidence-informed learning, practical application, and reflection.
Designed for busy educational leaders, ELLMs combine interactive learning, authentic leadership challenges, and job-embedded application. Participants engage with current research, collaborate with colleagues from across the province, apply new learning in their own leadership contexts, and demonstrate their growth through authentic evidence of practice.
Whether you are a new or experienced leader, ELLMs provide flexible opportunities to deepen your leadership capacity, respond to emerging challenges, and strengthen your impact on student well-being, achievement, and equitable outcomes.
Each module requires approximately 20–25 hours of learning over 8–10 weeks, including facilitated online learning, independent work, workplace application, and professional reflection. Participants who successfully complete a module receive a certificate recognizing their demonstrated competency in the selected area of educational leadership.
